Thanks to everyone who participated and attended the Cheverly Day Parade on May 20th.  It was a grand parade with many fun, creative and community oriented entries!   We hope that everyone had as much fun as the Cheverly Day Committee had. The Cheverly Day Committee would especially like to thank the Parade Judges, Former Mayors Julia Mosley and Al Dwyer.  What an impossible job they had selecting the honorees!

Fun & Games

Visit the Midway (located at the Tennis Courts in Town Park) for great activities for younger Cheverly Day partiers: moon bounces, roller racers, and all sorts of fun midway games! A big thank you to Nellis Corporation for sponsoring the 2017 Cheverly Day Midway!

We haven 't forgetten the "big kids", either. We're looking forward to soaking a few of our favorite Cheverly personalities in the Dunk Tank, playing Putt Putt on the great course created by Cheverly town groups, and cornhole, as well other fun games.

Of course, there's laser tag, the Annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tourney sponsored by the Cheverly Police Department, and the always competitive East vs. West Softball Game.

This year, we're offering something HUGE...Bubble soccer! Sponsored by Cheverly Soccer, five-minute games will be going on all day. Try something new this year!

Want to lend a hand? We need prizes, set-up assistance (Thursday through Saturday morning), and more. Students can get service hours, too! Contact us if you'd like to pitch in.

3 on 3 Basketball Tourney

Cheverly Day has many friendly competitions going on. From best table decorations at CHVProm to Cicada Crunch, horseshoes, laser tag, and softball, there are a lot of opportunities to get together for a little friendly battle. The most competitive may be the annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tourney, sponsored by the Cheverly Police Department. The people who participate in this event are serious. If you haven't spent some time watching, make sure to visit the Community Center Gym this Cheverly Day  -- the first game begins at noon. You'll see some impressive skills and a lot of people really enjoying themselves.

Teams are forming now and play begins at noon on May 20. Cost is just $5 per player, and there are four age groups. Thanks to the Cheverly Police Department for sponsoring this annual tournament.

AGE GROUPS:  Ages 8-11  Ages 12-16  Ages 17-29  Ages 30+
